13 Days Wildlife Safari Uganda &Primates Tour details

Day 1: Arrive – Entebbe – meet – greet I transfer to the hotel – briefing – overnight

Arrival, meet our team and transfer to the hotel, briefing and overnight in Entebbe (Meal Plan on B/D)

Day 2: Entebbe/Kampala –Zziwa Rhino – Shoebill (Sanctuary) – Gulu – overnight

Drive from Entebe/Kampala in the morning with your guide to Kidepo Valley NP, you will break your journey at Nakitomi – Zziwa Sanctuary, do a walking Safari to explore the Rhinos and the rear Shoebill stock, lunch at the restaurant, later continue the journey to Gulu town via the Karuma falls, you will arrive in time to check in your hotel, relax or do a walk to explore the beauty of Uganda’ 2^nd largest northern town that had been devastated by the long northern conflict of the 1990’s.

This town links up trade between Uganda and the new young state of Southern Sudan, return to the hotel in time for dinner and overnight. (Meal Plan on F/B)

Day 3: Gulu – Kitgum – Kidepo Valley NP – evening game drive

After our breakfast we will embark on a Journey further North – East of Uganda via Kitugm to Kidepo valley National Park. Our drive is through breathtaking landscape, Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa.

This park is surrounded by hills and rocky grounds, expect not to miss the wild life in this area like the Elephants, herds of Buffaloes, Jackals, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Klipspringer and possibly Lions; you also have an opportunity to visit the lions Rock, where you can even opt to camp in the wild if interested.

You also have a great opportunity to capture your best pictures if you’re a photography lover, we will arrive in time enough for check in and have lunch, thereafter we will embark on an evening game drive to explore the above mentioned, return in time for dinner and overnight. (Meal Plan on F/B)

Day 4: Kidepo Valley NP – Game drive – Community visit/Experience (Dodoth, Napolians)

After an early morning breakfast, you will embark on a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring where a variety of animals and birds can be seen roving around like the fast running Ostrich. You will continue with the game drive that will take you through the Narus Valley to see herds of

Buffalos, Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Lions and if lucky the leopard and the elusive cheetah, several stops will be made to allow for photographs of fabulous wildlife and birds, return for lunch, in the evening you will go for a cultural tour in the Karamajong community, a wonderful evening with Karamojong people giving an insight of their way of life and beliefs.

At the end of the tour you will be able to understand why their pride makes them slow to adapt to globalization, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. (Meal Plan on F/B)

Day 5 of the 13 Days Wildlife Safari Uganda &Primates Tour: Kidepo Valley NP – transfer to Murchison Falls NP – evening game drive

Have an early breakfast and as we drive out of the park, views a variety of fauna and flora species in the park, shortly we will be out of the park through beautiful sceneries across the savannah hills, small forests, dry river beds and rings of mountains.

Beautiful of northern homestead setting form memories of the drive, we will have lunch along the way before we finally enter Murchison Falls National park from the northern sector, a slow game drive as we head to the jet to cross the Nile to the southern sector to check in our lodge, time for dinner will be almost nearing, later overnight. Day 6: Murchison Falls NP – Game drive – boat cruise – Hike to the Top of the Falls

 This morning have breakfast as you set off to explore the beauty of the park by taking a game-drive in the Nyamsika plateau located on the North bank of the park, break for lunch and then take a fabulous relaxing two hour boat trip to the bottom of the falls, at this point you will get off the boat meet your guide then start a hike to the top of the fall, view the Magnificent Murchison Falls from the top, you will observe the 7 meter gorge together with a 43 meter drop of the falls resulting into a thunderous roar and a gorgeous rainbow in a cloud of water sprays which leaves several tourists yearning!, your driver will pick you up from the Top of the Falls to drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 7 of the 13 Days Wildlife Safari Uganda &Primates Tour: Murchison Falls NP – Hoima  – Kibale/Fort Portal – Bigodi wetland walk

 After breakfast take a long ride over hills, down valleys, through villages and trading centers, a short stopover in Hoima Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom to explore part of the Ugandan traditional culture, lunch and later proceed to Kibale Forest NP via Fort Portal town, check in at the hotel, we will make use part of our evening to do a community/forest walk in Bigodi before we embark to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 8: Kibale Forest NP – Chimpanzee Trekking – Queen Elizabeth NP – evening game drive

 An early breakfast, drive to Kibale forest for an early morning chimpanzee tracking in the famous Africa’s largest hardwood forest, the forest is a home to 13 primate species, birds and many other forest animal species, return for lunch and thereafter drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park along the foot hills of Rwenzori mountain, down to the Kasese, a shot stop at the equator, do an evening game drive in the Kasenyi sector, later drive to the lodge for check in, diner and overnight.

Only 1 hour is permitted to you to view the chimpanzee. Trekking takes about 1 hour to 6 hours basing on the location of these relatives of Man.  We will return for lunch and thereafter depart to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Chimpanzee tracking fee USD $200.00 Net in Kibale National Park,

Day 9 of the 13 Days Wildlife Safari Uganda &Primates Tour: Queen Elizabeth NP – Game drive – Boat cruise – Community walk/experience 

 An early morning breakfast, set off for a game-drive, your guide will search and point out wild animals as he leads you to the various habitats of game, return for Lunch at the Lodge and later in the afternoon take a boat-ride on Kazinga Channel to see birds, semi- and aquatic animals that rely on the channel for their livelihood, after you will do a community walk as you will be led to explore the livelihood of the community that hosts you, return to the lodge for community entertainment, dinner and, (optional 3 hour night guided game drive depending on your strength and interest), stay or return at the lodge for your overnight. Day 10: Queen Elizabeth NP – Ishasha Sector – Game drive – transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP

After breakfast embark a journey to Bwindi forest a home to Mountain gorillas covering an area of 331 sq km. Pass through the Ishasha sector where you will take pleasure in watching tree-climbing lions, also enjoy various spectacular landscapes on your way, have lunch and continue to Bwindi to check in for dinner and overnight. Day 11: Bwindi – Gorilla Trekking – evening community walk/experience

On this day you will have a great time meeting with the Mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest! After a tasty breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the lodge, head for briefing and later enjoy the fullness of the mist forest as you see the gentle giants and other wildlife species like buffaloes, elephants, monkeys, butterflies and different bird species.

Only 1 hour is permitted to you with the gorillas. Trekking takes about 1 hour to 8 hours basing on location of these gentle giants. After the trek, in the evening you could go for a guided nature walk or a community visit, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12 of the 13 Days Wildlife Safari Uganda &Primates Tour: Bwindi Impenetrable NP – Lake Mburo NP – evening game drive

 Pick up by your guide and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, which is among the Uganda’s smallest Savannah national parks. It was upgraded as a national park in 1983 covering an area of 371 sq km and home to over 332 species of birds, animals like buffaloes, Oribis, Kobs, warthogs, zebras among others.

Upon arrival you will check in at the lodge, later head for a guided nature walk through the park. Have dinner and an overnight stay. (Meal Plan on F/B)

Day 13: Lake Mburo – morning safari walk – return to Entebbe – equator stop over 

After an early breakfast, have a game walking safari through the park as you embark on your journey back to Kampala. Have lunch en route with a stopover around the equator to have experiments and take enough photos. Later arrive in Kampala in the evening or a drop off at the Entebbe for a flight. (Meal Plan on B/L)
