Gorilla trekking safari in this land of 1000 hills begins from Kigali to Parc National des Volcano/Volcanoes National Park and back to Kigali for a Rwanda city tour. During this Rwanda safari, there will be enough time to trek gorillas in the mist forested park. Each gorilla permit is at a cost of $1500 per person.

Detailed 2 Days gorilla trekking safari Rwanda
Day 1: Visit the Genocide memorial site & City Tour
Have an early breakfast from the hotel in Kigali, where your driver will pick you up from; brief you about the 2-day Gorilla trekking safari in Rwanda. He will then take you for a city tour; where you will be able to visit the Genocide Memorial Site with information and memories of the shading of blood during the 1994 genocide and also visit some local markets, then have lunch and transfer to Volcanoes National park which lies on an altitude of 2300 to 4,507m ASL, situated about 90 km from Kigali.
On reaching the Park that is if you are still on time visit the Ibywachu village. Have dinner and overnight as you prepare for gorilla trekking on the next day. (Meal Plan on F/B)

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Lunch – transfer to Kigali/Kanombe airport for departure
In the morning after breakfast, you will transfer to the Kinigi Park headquarters by 7:00 am for a briefing by park rangers about the rules concerning trekking.
After the briefing, you will start off with trekking along the paths in the bamboo forests; it is an amazing activity where it takes you between 2 to 6 hours for the whole activity of tracking the mountain gorillas.
When you meet the gorillas face to face you will watch them jumping from branch to branch, feed, play among other things; Only 1 hour is given to trekkers to watch the gentle giants.
You will also see other forest mammals and a number of bird species. Later, transfer back to the lodge for lunch, check out and transfer back to Kigali to your accommodation or the airport.
Only 1 hour is permitted for you to view the Gorillas. Trekking takes about 1 hour to 8 hours based on the location of these gentle giants. After the trek, in the evening you could go for a guided nature walk or a community visit, return to the lodge for dinner, and overnight. Gorilla tracking fee USD $1,500.00 Net,

If staying in Kigali or extending to Lake Kivu after the Gorilla activity, please request assistance at the time of booking this safari to allow us ample time to make arrangements. If departing Kigali the same night, please note’ by use of road’ returns to Kigali are always late afternoon (approximately 17h.00/18h00, please DO NOT book flights departing prior to 20h00 or 22h00 respectively in order to allow time for security, check in and if any delays due to weather.
